Animators meanwhile, are quietly sketching the next character they hope will launch a thousand lunch boxes, knowing that the children's animation market has dozens of ancillary rights applications. Animation now has more outlets than ever before, including DVD, games, the Internet and interactive television, and the stakes have risen considerably.
