摘要

Activation of hypoxia-inducible factors (HIFs) commonly occurs in many solid tumors as a result of intratumoral hypoxia and/or genetic alterations. HIFs activate transcription of target genes encoding proteins that are involved in critical steps of cancer progression, including angio-genesis, glucose and energy metabolism, cell survival and proliferation, as well as invasion and metastasis (1). Thus, understanding the regulation of HIF tran-scriptional activity may lead to novel therapies for human cancers.
