I investigated the Shikyakumon of Ryuhoin mausoleum in the Eiheiji-Temple in search of clues to go on through its old drawings and its firsthand survey. The summary of this study is as follows: The existing Shikyakumon was originally built as the gate of Ryuhoin grave in 1674 (Shoho 4).It has a hiwada gabled roof, with a nokikarahafu in the front. The Shikyakumo was moved to the present place in 1778 (An-ei7) and was dismantled of its nokikarahafu .The Shikyakumon retains the original style in its details.
