This book enters a rapidly growing, and increasingly competitive, market. The number of industries embracing computational fluid dynamics (CFD) continues to creep up as computing power becomes more accessible. This growth in computational power and the accessibility of sophisticated methods in commercial solvers mean that CFD engineers need to have a solid foundation in fundamental physics and numerical analysis. A wide range of textbooks have been written as introductions to CFD, detailed guides for researchers in specific topics and mathematical design and analysis of numerical schemes.
