摘要

A novel hydraulic energy-saving system for hydrostatic drives using flywheels as energy storage systems is proposed in this paper. The system has been developed based on a traditional closed-loop hydrostatic transmission (HST) with novel energy storage, including a hydraulic accumulator and a flywheel. The control strategy for the proposed system has also been designed. Mathematical modelling, simulation, and experimentation in the test rig have been performed in this study. The experimental results implied that the proposed system could be applied for mobile applications. The study confirmed that the system saved 48 per cent energy supplied from the primary power source when compared with a traditional HST for modified ten-mode profile.
