The common question among PCB fabricators is, "What can I do to reduce costs?" Most fabricators aim at the most common targets of cost reduction, such as cycle times, process change (at the point of the problem, not at its source), and raw material prices. By doing this, the fabricator may be missing a much more significant and potentially larger opportunity for savings - improving processing yields. All too often, fabricators overlook the benefits that simply improving the control and efficiency of their processes will bring.
