摘要

To achieve high registration accuracy (e.g., between drilled holes and printed lands), the most basic requirement is that one knows the actual shape of the deformed panel once manufacturing processes (e.g., brushing) are completed. Unfortunately, to obtain such knowledge about the actual deformed shape is not easy. Currently, the simplest linear approximation is widely employed. This kind of approximation may soon become inadequate for HDI products that employ ever-tighter tolerances. Another type of approximate solution ― one that includes non-linear behaviors ― guarantees high accuracy, at least for the measured registration targets.
