IT'S A DEAL

Mentor Graphics Corp. has acquired LogicVision Inc. in a deal valued at about $13 million, expanding its IC product portfolio. The transaction is structured as a stock-for-stock reverse triangular merger, subject to LogicVision stockholders' approval and closing conditions. LogicVision will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Mentor. Under the terms of the agreement, the transaction should be tax-free to LogicVision stockholders. The deal is expected to be final during the third quarter of this year.
