Inline foil transfer printing is a new alternative to the established offline processes like hot foil embossing. It offers short set up times for printing and transfer in one step. Economical offset forms, offset-like process assurance and a good quality speak for the new method. With its inline foiler Prindor MAN Roland is the first offset printing machine manufacturer to offer a new process for inline foil transfer printing in the printing machine for drupa 2004. Various product solutions for specific markets are supposed to be both economical in their use and at the same time give brilliant refinement results. However, before we look at the economical & process engineering advantages, it is necessary to examine this new technology in greater detail.
