Drupa 2004 shows that printing is changing and that solutions begin "in our heads". The combination of electronics and printing has created a wide platform for the printing business for its huge expansion in the future. Digital Printing provides the print business a formula to achieve its desired targets. When drupa 2004 raised curtains in Dusseldorf on 6 May 2004, print media specialists from the printing and publishing industry as well as printers from the office world found an almost unbelievable number of colour printing systems. Prepress, colour printing in all sorts of processes and finishing are showing as integrated solutions, how simple, fast and high-quality printing in colour has become for all processes. At the same time visitors to drupa 04 saw that printing is experiencing extremely vigorous development - and that printing has a future now more than ever. Printing will also be done in the future. Printed items in all their variety meet basic needs and are deeply anchored in people's habits.
