180 specialists from newspaper and commercial printing companies met and exchanged notes at the "Wandsbeker Convention" held at MAN Roland in Hamburg. Among other things the main focus was on the suitability of using today's newspaper printing for commercial jobs. For the first time Fritz Torneden, the managing director of MAN Roland sales and service GmbH (Hamburg) and initiator of this convention had invited web offset printers from newspaper as well as commercial printing fields to meet on a common platform - to give some "suggestions": "in the past there were hardly any exchange of synergy between these fields". Nevertheless, recently these two worlds have come very close to each other.
