The parameters that are considered critical for quality in plate production vary from one newspaper house to another. Thus, in actual practice there are different opinions on the scope of quality management. The following questions crop up in the topic of quality management from the point of view of newspaper publishers and print shops: 1. Do we need quality control in our newspaper production? 2. To what extent can we afford to have such a quality control? 3. To what extent can we ask our employees to control and supervise our entire production?
