摘要

Even today it is rare to find UV-curable xerographic printing on paper and flexible packaging substrates. Here the prints are subjected to unusually high stresses during the post-press operations. Packaging materials for pharmaceutical, foodstuffs and cosmetics applications can be manufactured on paper and foils as a starting edition economically by using efficient web digital printing systems. UV-curable dry toners have not only a high temperature resistance, but they also have a high degree of mechanical abrasion resistance and good resistance to organic solvents. Only the future will tell, whether they can offer also a high degree of process reliability and safety.
