Veteran rotogravure printers have always stuck to this proven process steadfastly and of late, they are investing heavily in it. But big industrial web offset printers, for whom rotogravure may well be more economical, tend to shy away from switching over to it because they will have to create an entirely new infrastructure around the press. While the fear of the unknown surely plays a role in trying out other processes and adopting them, it is not the only factor.
