摘要

Successful experience with use of secondary monolithizing of dams by grouting of intercolumn joints is presented.rnGroutable joints in concrete dams. The 141-m-high and 759-m-long concrete gravity dam of the Bureya HPP consists of a powerhouse (P), spillway (S), and two dead-end sections - left (LB) and right (RB) bank sections (Fig. 1). Along its length, the dam is divided into 47 sections 15 and 24 m wide. During construction, sectioning of the spillway portion into columnar masses (columns) I-VII ranging in thickness from 14 to 17 m by temporary joints that were later grouted, was specified to ensure the dam's crack resistance when subjected to temperature effects. Grouting of the intercolumn joints should ensure the monolithic character of the dam and the transfer of compressive forces from the upstream to downstream columns [1].
