A description and general information about the modular converter device (MCD) is given. Analysis is presented for the modes of operation of an electrical network with a distorting load and MCD is provided when changing the network topology. A description of the MCD control system is given. The necessity of the availability of an adaptive tuning loop for an MCD guidance system is shown. The high-speed performance of the MCD is shown.
