Carnival Corporation's Micky Arison receives the 2005 C. Bradford Mitchell Award

The Steamship Historical Society of America's C. Bradford Mitchell Award is presented annually to honor an individual, institution, or agency for a single achievement that contributes to the Society's aim to preserve, protect, and disseminate the history of engine-powered vessels. There is no question that Micky Arison, Chairman of Carnival Corporation, the 2005 recipient of this award, has done just that, not just with the successful operation of several cruise lines, but especially with the construction of the Queen Mary 2, first true transatlan-tic ocean liner in decades.
