I n 2007, Oklahoma Gas & Electric announced a bold new strategy, bucking the longtime business traditions of investor-owned electric utilities. The Oklahoma City-based utility, serving 800,000 customers in Oklahoma and western Arkansas, said it would not build any new generation until after 2020.
