While the final Coal Combustion Residual and Effluent Limitations Guidelines present challenging regulatory requirements for new and existing coal unit installations, numerous options are available to achieve compliance, and in many cases improve system operations with newer technologies. A careful evaluation of multiple alternatives, with consideration for each unique set of plant operating and design criteria can result in an optimal selection of a safe, reliable and cost-effective compliance solution for fly and bottom ash handling.
