摘要

The concept of using the power line in conjunction with thenbroadband integrated services network (BISDN) for a range of value addednservice is proposed. The use of the power line in the low voltagendistribution network, as a local loop in communications for a range ofncustomer services in the residential and industrial area is detailed.nThe integration of this local loop residential service into a BISDNnnetwork provides the potential for integrating many thousand of homesninto a wide area network (WAN) architecture. The potentialncharacteristics of this type of communication architecture arenestablished for efficient transport of data services
