Phase equilibria in V-riched alloys of V-Ni-Al-system

摘要

Alloys being rich in vanadium in the system of V-Ni-Al are studied by metallography, X-ray phased and local X-ray spectrography methods. Boundaries of phase ranges in vanadium angle for isothermal section at 1200 °C as well as vertices of conod triangle αβσ are established. Maximum aluminium solubility in σ-phase at 1200 °C is 6/100 (at.). Homogenity range of NiAl-based β-phase has great extent, and maximum vanadium content reaches 41,5/100 (at.) in it. The mpst high nickel content in vanadium solid solution is 25/100 (at.). The alloys with 15-20 /100 Al and 20-30/100 Ni exhibit a tendency to precipation ageing and, thus, may be used as a base of new generation materials resistant to radiation damage.
