Rohr-Idreco delivers mobile dredge and booster station

A North American sand and gravel company was recently in the market for a new and efficient electric dredge to replace their existing diesel drag line to increase production and lower their overall operating cost. As Rohr-Idreco manufactures state-of-the-art dredges with the latest technology, the customer decided to move forward with an RI 300 (12") electric jet suction dredge, which has a digging depth of 60 ft (18 m) and production capacity in excess of 400 tonnes/hr. The dredge is equipped with a state-of-the-art GPS and sonar system that allows the operator to have virtually real time information on where material has been dredged and where virgin material still lies through an intricate mapping system.
