The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANY/NJ) and the City of Elizabeth, New Jersey, have signed an agreement under which PANY/NJ will provide more funds to the city as part of a package of municipal initiatives which will offer the parties a number of mutual benefits. PANY/NJ will increase its annual Community Development Agreement payment to the City of Elizabeth from $ I m to $3m and, in return, the city will provide improved police and fire services to the Elizabeth Marine Terminal and nearby airport facilities.
