The Swivl video-chat accessory lets the talker pace, cook dinner, or generally move about the room. With a chat app, such as FaceTime, open, the caller snaps a smartphone into the Swivl's rotating stand and clips the mic-equipped marker onto his shirt. The marker emits an infrared beam and Bluetooth signal. A sensor on the stand tracks those signals and prompts the base to follow them. The Swivl can turn in a full 360-degree circle and tilt 10 degrees forward or 20 degrees back.
