PUMP IT UP!

The embarrassment was almost too much to bear. By the time we arrived at the Goodguys show in Scottsdale, Arizona, the power steering pump in Project Laguna was all but shot. For two years, we've nursed the Type I (aka P-style) Saginaw pump that originally came with our '75 Laguna, and as we've upgraded the suspension, wheels, tires, horsepower, and steering gearbox, the 35-year-old pump has become increasingly taxed by the rising performance level.
