SEE-THROUGH OIL FILTER

Billet Connection has developed a new billet aluminum oil filter assembly that allows the user to inspect the filter element without draining or leaking any oil, unbolting or loosening any fasteners or fittings, and without losing any oil out of the oil system. This filter assembly allows the user to clearly observe contaminants and particulates that have been filtered out of the oil system, even in nontransparent fluids. This helps to determine if the contaminants and particles are from normal use, bearings, or other excessively worn components in the engine. The billet filter assembly ($495) is available in either a 60- or 115-micron filter size, and also requires a remote adapter ($139) and stainless steel hose kit ($150). Billet Connection currently has applications for Chevy engines, and others are coming soon.
