Following recent incendiary devices at business premises in Newry, Coleraine, Londonderry and Newtownabbey, police are urging business owners particularly in retail parks to regularly check their premises on a daily basis for anything suspicious.rnCrime Prevention Officer, Inspector Philip McCullough explains:" A recent spate of attacks have shown that the out of town retail parks have born the brunt of recent incendiary targets and at this time while we want all lekholders to vigilant we urge these owners to be especially so.rn"An incendiary device has the potential to destroy property, and take human life. Its purpose is to cause widespread damage. Devices can be left in garments, soft furnishings, and upholstery, anywhere that can catch fire easily. These devices can cause serious damage and unnecessary disruption to all and more seriously lives could be lost or people badly injured. Quick thinking of staff and the emergency services has'prevented this so far, but we cannot be complacent.
