COLERAINE AREA WELFARE ANNUAL DAY TRIP

This year the Coleraine Area Welfare Day Trip arranged by the chairwoman, Lorna Wilmont and her team Eileen Bradley and Sergeant Sharon Campbell, was held on Thursday, 1 st September 2011, the venue being Glenveagh Castle in Glenveagh National Park which lies in the heart of the Derryveagh Mountains in the north-west of County Donegal. It is in a remote and hauntingly beautiful wilderness of rugged mountains and pristine lakes. The Park, over 16,000 hectares in extent consists of three areas. The largest of these is the former Glenveagh Estate, including most of the Derryveagh Mountains.
