LEGENDS OF POLICE FOOTBALL - JACK PIKE

Jack Pike was bom in Larne in 1927 and joined the R.U.C. on 5th, June 1952. In 1946 he was awarded a Junior International Cap playing for Ireland against Scotland; a game Scotland won 3-2. Joining the R.U.C. in 1952 he made his debut for the Police in a friendly match against 60th. A.A. Regiment at Holywood; the R.U.C. winning 7-4. With the R.U.C. joining the Northern Ireland Amateur League in 1956 Pike was to play a key role in the success of the club playing over 450 competitive games including Police Internationals and representative games against the Glasgow City Police.
