Dr Farina Hashmi appointed to leading podiatry team

The University of Salford's Podiatry Group has appointed Dr Farina Hashmi as a lecturer, teaching undergraduate podiatry students and leading the skin biomechanics research within the Foot and Ankle Research Programme. Farina graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Pure Chemistry in 1991, and after qualifying as a podiatrist at the London Foot Hospital in 1997 she worked for the NHS, the London Foot Hospital and also in private practice. In 2004 she completed her PhD in Skin Biochemistry at University College London, focusing on the biochemical and biophysical properties of foot skin in diabetes.
