4TH ANNUAL PODIATRIC SPORTS MEDICINE CONFERENCE, IN ASSOCIATION WITH ECOSEP

The 4th Annual Podiatric Sports Medicine Conference in association with European College of Sports & Exercise Physicians (ECOSEP) was held in the Royal College of Physicians. It was a pleasure to organise this year's conference and, even though it lacked in delegate quantity, it more than made up for it in quality. The most refreshing and encouraging aspect was that more than 50% of the delegates were students, the future of any profession. The whole conference reflected the multi-disciplinary nature of sports medicine, both in delegates and speaker faculty. Delegates comprised of podiatrists, podiatry students, trainee podiatric surgeons, physiotherapists, sports therapy students, medical doctors, sports physicians and medical students. The speaker faculty included sports physicians, orthopaedic surgeons, general surgeons, podiatric surgeons, podiatrists, rheumatologists, radiologists and nurse practitioners, representing many major countries of Europe (including the UK, Greece, Germany, Spain and Italy).
