Prof. Torii, who was once an editorial writer of the Nihon Keizai Shimbun (newspaper), now gives lectures and works for researches at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. Subject of his research is "fostering citizens who can debate rationally." Although he has just begun his work, he kindly writes about his activity.
