Hanford waste transfer facility stabilized

DOE’s Office of River Protection and its tank farms contractornCH2M Hill Hanford Group Inc. reported last weeknthat a facility once used to transfer waste between nuclearnmaterials processing buildings at Hanford and large undergroundnwaste tanks has been stabilized ahead of schedule.nRoughly 18,000 gallons of radioactive and hazardous chemicalnwaste were pumped from the facility and into doubleshellednwaste tanks.
