Credit Suisse becomes market-making member of LBMA

Credit Suisse has been reclassified as a spot nand options market making member of the nLondon Bullion Market Association with effect nThursday, the LBMA said in a statement. It nsaid that in order to qualify as an LBMA market nmaker, a company must offer two-way quota-ntions in both gold and silver to the other market nmakers throughout the London business day. nReclassification is the responsibility of the LBMA nmanagement committee. In deciding on the nissue of reclassification, the committee takes naccount of the views of the other market makers non the performance of the candidate company nduring an approximately three-month probation-nary period. Total LBMA membership stands at n119, consisting of 10 market-making members, n53 ordinary members, 53 associates and 3 affili-nate members.
