China-based Nanshan America plans to invest nnearly $100 million in a new aluminum extru-nsion facility in Lafayette, Indiana, in what nwould be its first manufacturing operation in nthe US, according to a company statement nand a spokeswoman for the Indiana Economic nDevelopment Corp. Construction is scheduled nto begin later this year on a facility to produce naluminum industrial components for customers nin the commercial, transportation, automotive nand industrial machinery industries, spokes-nwoman Blair West said Thursday in an interview.
