Refined Pb surplus 34,000 mt in January-May: ILZSG

World supply of refined lead metal exceededndemand by around 34,000 mt in January-Maynthis year, while reported stock levels rose byn46,000 mt, according to preliminary figuresnreleased by the International Lead and ZincnStudy Group Thursday. In the first five months ofnthe year, global lead mine output rose by 11.7%nto around 1.58 million mt from 1.415 million mtnyear on year. The increase was mainly due tonhigher production in Australia, China, India andnMexico, the ILZSG said in a statement.
