ETFS unveils first physically backed industrial metal ETCs

ETF Securities launched the world’s first physi-ncally backed industrial metal Exchange Traded nCommodities (ETCs) Tuesday, according to a ncompany statement. “These new products will, nfor the first time, give investors access to indus-ntrial metals in an easy, secure and transparent nway via a security traded on the London Stock nExchange. A total of six individual metals are nbeing offered under the prospectus together with na basket comprising all the metals,” the state-nment added. The first securities to be available nfor trading will be ETFS Physical Copper, ETFS nPhysical Nickel, and ETFS Physical Tin. Trading nin these securities is expected to commence nFriday. The remaining securities--ETFS Physical nAluminium, ETFS Physical Lead and ETFS nPhysical Zinc and ETFS Physical IM Basket--will nbe available next year.
