It has been difficult to determine whether low gasnprices or coal-fired power plant retirements havenplayed a bigger role in the breakout year for natural gas demandnfrom power in 2015. Both clearly are having a significant impact,nwith 2015 year-to-date power burn at 22.5 Bcf/d, 15% higher thannlast year. Demand has increased the most in the Northeast,nMidwest, Southeast, and Texas.
