Colorado lawmakers propose bill lowering RPS

The Colorado Senate is considering a bill that would slash thenstate’s renewable portfolio standard.nSenate Bill 44 would cut the current renewable requirement fornthe state’s two investor-owned utilities — Black Hills and PublicnService Co. of Colorado — from 20% to 15% and keep it at thatnlevel. Current law calls for the standard to increase to 30% in 2020.
