Texas windpower is pressuring non-renewables

Wind generators are piling into Texas at a time when high winds andrnlow prices are already taking the starch out of non-renewable powerrngeneration.rnAccording to grid operator Electric Reliability Council of Texas,rnthere were 16,631 MW of wind generation installed as of July 2016. Withrnconstruction running full speed, much of it egged on by federalrnproduction tax credits, ERCOT is expecting to see 3,000 MW of windrngeneration added by the end of this year, bringing the total tornapproximately 19,750 MW.
