Texas regulators ready to OK Oncor-Hunt deal

The Public Utility Commission of Texas on Thursday conditionally indicated a willingness to approve the proposed sale of the state's largest transmission company to affiliates of Hunt Consolidated, but the purchasers expressed reservations about some conditions. Energy Future Holdings, which is in Chapter 11 bankruptcy, owns 80% of Oncor, the state's largest transmission company, for which control has been proposed to transfer to the Ovation and Shary Holdings units of Hunt Consolidated. Canada'sTexas Transmission Investment owns the other 20% of Oncor.
