Northeast power prices dropped Tuesday with a tumble in spot gas prices and higher forecast temperatures. Mass Hub on-peak shed $6.25 to about $21.50/MWh for Wednesday delivery on the IntercontinentalExchange. Off-peak added 25 cents to around $17.75/MWh. Balance-of-the-week on-peak fell $2.75 to almost $23.50/MWh. Next-week on-peak lost $6.25 to around $28.75/MWh. Algonquin Gas Transmission city-gate sank $1.108 to around $1.733/MMBtu for Wednesday delivery on ICE.
