Tax credits push big wind construction effort

The federal Production Tax Credit program continues to drive strong wind energy development. There was just over 29,600 MW of wind capacity under construction or in advanced development in the US at the end of the third quarter, the highest level ever reported, according to the American Wind Energy Association’s market report released Thursday.
