New York daily zone prices climb

New York day-ahead on-peak zone locational marginal prices rose Wednesday, as temperatures are expected to increase across the state, boosting systemwide peakload. Downstate, New York City Zone J and Long Island Zone K day-ahead on-peak LMP averaged in the mid-$30/MWh, up more than $5 from Tuesday. Upstate prices varied, with West Zone A day-ahead on-peak averaging in the low $30s/MWh, up 25 cents. On-peak congestion charges averaged about $3.50/MWh.
