Climbing shutter for concrete walls - attaches to anchorage zones and has climbing frame of vertical towers incorporating sliding cages

The climbing shutter is for use in the construction of reinforced concrete walls with plane or curved surfaces. The wall includes embedded fixings (20) for the separate anchoring of a climbing frame (1, 2) and shutter elements (6, 7). After concreting a partic. section of wall the shutters are detached from the anchorages and elevated by lifting gear. The climbing frame has box-section framed towers (1) with each tower incorporating one or more sliding cages (2). The towers and cages are demountably anchored directly to the previously cast wall section (3) whilst reinforcement and concrete is placed in the succeeding section. During lifting the towers (1) initially move relative to the cages (2) which remain firmly anchored (22), and the towers (1) are then re-anchored to allow the cages (2) to ascend.
