Wind, solar, and battery storage resources are poised to account forthree-quarters of utility-scale capacity additions in the US over thenext two years, according to the Energy Information Administration.Solar alone will make up 38 GW, nearly half of the anticipated 78.3GW of new large-scale generating capacity to be energized across thenation's power grids in 2022 and 2023, EIA said in its latest ElectricityMonthly Update, released Dec. 23.
