Electric power was restored to 750 customers Dec. 15 following a fireat a Sacramento Municipal Utility District substation that significantlydamaged one network, led the utility to de-energize on two othernetworks for public safety and left 1,300 customers in the dark.The fire started around 11:47 am PT Dec. 14 at SMUD’s substation A,located at 6th and H streets, according to a SMUD statement.Sacramento is served by three networks from Station A. A total of1,300 customers in the downtown area lost power between the threenetworks Dec. 14 due to the fire.
