FERC accepts MISO plan that allows hybrid resources to participate in capacity market

The US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has accepted a plan byMidcontinent Independent System Operator to define and accredithybrid resources so that they can participate in MISO's capacity market.The plan is significant because MISO's first hybrid resource isslated to begin operation next month, and there are 30 hybrid resourceproposals totaling 2.1 GW of capacity in MISO’s interconnection queue.Most of these proposals would combine solar and battery storage.
