Swiss energy company Alpiq, utility EW Hoefe and Socar are planningto build a 10-MW electrolyzer to produce renewable hydrogen inFreienbach, Switzerland, Alpiq said July 28.The plant, scheduled to start commissioning at the end of 2022,will be the country’s largest green hydrogen production facility, with anoutput of 1,000-1,200 mt/year, Alpiq said in a statement.The hydrogen production will be powered by renewable electricityfrom the grid, and used in transport applications, it said.
