President Joe Biden and a bipartisan group of 10 US senators reached an agreement on an infrastructure package that includes tens of billions in energy infrastructure funding. The $579 billion Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework would provide $73 billion to spur power infrastructure development and $21 billion for "environmental remediation," according to a June 24 White House fact sheet. The package would provide $7.5 billion for electric vehicle infrastructure and $7.5 billion for electric buses and transit.
